God Calls – How Will You Answer?
Arlington District Advent Event
Nov 15, 2014 starting at 9 a.m. with breakfast
Herndon UMC
701 Bennett St, Herndon, VA 20170
Doris Douglass and Lisa George will talk about their Ubuntu mission experiences.
Ubuntu is a term roughly translating to "human kindness." It is an idea from the Southern African region which means literally "human-ness," and is often translated as "humanity toward others," but is often used in a more philosophical sense to mean "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity".
There will be a time for others to share their mission experiences.
There will be a hands-on activity of making no-sew blankets.
Please bring light polar fleece in 1 1/2 yard pieces, coordinating pairs if possible.
No registration required - bring a friend.
